To ensure autorun and distribution:
Modifies the following registry keys:
- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'Services' = '%WINDIR%\catfcmd32.pif'
Creates the following files on removable media:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\AUTORUN.INF
- <Drive name for removable media>:\.trash.exe
Malicious functions:
To complicate detection of its presence in the operating system,
blocks execution of the following system utilities:
- Windows Task Manager (Taskmgr)
Executes the following:
- '<SYSTEM32>\reg.exe' add HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\SessionManager /v Protection Mode /t reg_Dword /d 1 /f
- '<SYSTEM32>\cmd.exe' /c reg add HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\CURRENTVERSION\RUN /v "Services" /t reg_sz /d "%WINDIR%\catfcmd32.pif" /f
- '<SYSTEM32>\reg.exe' add HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\CURRENTVERSION\RUN /v "Services" /t reg_sz /d "%WINDIR%\catfcmd32.pif" /f
- '<SYSTEM32>\cmd.exe' /c reg add HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\SessionManager /v Protection Mode /t reg_Dword /d 1 /f
- '<SYSTEM32>\cmd.exe' /c copy "<Full path to virus>" "%WINDIR%\catfcmd32.pif" /Y

Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\.trash.exe
- C:\.trash.exe
