- [<HKCU>\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'ctfmon.exe' = '<SYSTEM32>\ctfmon.exe'
Creates or modifies the following files:
- %WINDIR%\Tasks\ВМ»Ї.bat
Substitutes the following executable system files:
- <SYSTEM32>\dllcache\ctfmon.exe with <SYSTEM32>\dllcache\ctfmon.exe
- <SYSTEM32>\ctfmon.exe with <SYSTEM32>\ctfmon.exe
Creates the following files on removable media:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\recycle.{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}\GHOSTBAK.exe
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
Malicious functions:
Creates and executes the following:
- '%TEMP%\1AkDL8F6Je.pif'
- '<SYSTEM32>\wins\svchost.exe'
- '%TEMP%\1AkDL8F6Je.pif' (downloaded from the Internet)
Executes the following:
- '<SYSTEM32>\ipconfig.exe'
- '<SYSTEM32>\cmd.exe' /c <Current directory>\delrunme.bat
Terminates or attempts to terminate
the following system processes:
- <SYSTEM32>\ctfmon.exe
the following user processes:
- 360tray.exe
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- %HOMEPATH%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\KHMHGZ4F\chajian[1].exe
- %TEMP%\1AkDL8F6Je.pif
- <SYSTEM32>\wins\svchost.exe
- <Current directory>\delrunme.bat
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
Deletes the following files:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
- <SYSTEM32>\dllcache\ctfmon.exe
- <SYSTEM32>\ctfmon.exe
Modifies the HOSTS file.
Deletes itself.
