Malicious functions:
To bypass firewall, removes or modifies the following registry keys:
- [<HKLM>\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\SharedAccess\Parameters\FirewallPolicy\StandardProfile\AuthorizedApplications\List] '%APPDATA%\server.scr' = '%APPDATA%\server.scr:*:Enabled:server.scr'
Creates and executes the following:
- '%APPDATA%\server.scr' /S
Executes the following:
- '<SYSTEM32>\netsh.exe' firewall add allowedprogram "%APPDATA%\server.scr" "server.scr" ENABLE
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- %APPDATA%\server.scr
Network activity:
Connects to:
- 'sc####11.no-ip.org':1177
UDP:
- DNS ASK sc####11.no-ip.org
Miscellaneous:
Searches for the following windows:
- ClassName: 'Indicator' WindowName: '(null)'
