- [<HKLM>\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'Windows-Network Component' = '<SYSTEM32>\WUDHosts.exe'
- [<HKCU>\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'Windows Audio Driver' = '%APPDATA%\audiohd.exe'
- [<HKCU>\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'Windows-Network Component' = '<SYSTEM32>\WUDHosts.exe'
Malicious functions
To complicate detection of its presence in the operating system,
forces the system hide from view:
- hidden files
Executes the following
- '<SYSTEM32>\netsh.exe' firewall add allowedprogram <Full path to file> http-bot ENABLE
- '<SYSTEM32>\netsh.exe' firewall add allowedprogram %APPDATA%\audiohd.exe http-bot ENABLE
Modifies file system
Creates the following files
- %APPDATA%\audiohd.exe
- <SYSTEM32>\wudhosts.exe
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files
- %APPDATA%\audiohd.exe
- <SYSTEM32>\wudhosts.exe
