To ensure autorun and distribution:
Modifies the following registry keys:
- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'Windows User' = '<SYSTEM32>\user32.exe'
Creates the following files on removable media:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\Autorun.inf
- <Drive name for removable media>:\InstallDriver.exe
Malicious functions:
Executes the following:
- <SYSTEM32>\sc.exe create "Windows User" type=share error=critical start=auto binpath=<SYSTEM32>\user32.exe
- <SYSTEM32>\reg.exe add HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run /v "Windows User" /t REG_SZ /d "<SYSTEM32>\user32.exe" /f
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- <SYSTEM32>\user32.exe
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\InstallDriver.exe
- <SYSTEM32>\user32.exe
