To ensure autorun and distribution:
Modifies the following registry keys:
- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'Eset NOD 32' = '<SYSTEM32>\warrior.exe'
Creates the following files on removable media:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\war\desktop.ini
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
- <Drive name for removable media>:\war\war.exe
Malicious functions:
Executes the following:
- <SYSTEM32>\ping.exe -t 192.168.1.254 -l 65.596
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- C:\war\war.exe
- C:\autorun.inf
- C:\war\desktop.ini
- <SYSTEM32>\warrior.exe
- %WINDIR%\system\war.exe
- %WINDIR%\system\msn.exe
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\war\desktop.ini
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
- C:\war\desktop.ini
- C:\autorun.inf
Deletes the following files:
- <Drive name for removable media>:\autorun.inf
- C:\autorun.inf
