Virus library

An analysis of the technologies used by cybercriminals allows us to draw conclusions about the virus industry’s possible vectors of development and more effectively confront future threats. You, too, can learn what actions various malicious programs take in infected systems and how to withstand them.

Android.Wukong in virus library:

A family of malicious programs for Android mobile devices. The malware can be distributed via legitimate applications modified by cybercriminals. Once they are installed, and once some certain event occurs (for example, system booting or launch of an infected application), these Trojans start running in background mode establishing a connection to a remote server. The server, in turn, sends the Trojans information on a premium number to send text messages to. All messages begin with the YZHC line and are sent with a 50-minute interval. To conceal their activities from the user, the Trojans of the Android.Wukong family delete not only their own text messages but also payment conformation messages from mobile network operators.

Vulnerabilities for Android

According to statistics, every fifth program for Android contains a vulnerability (or, in other words, a "loophole") that lets cybercriminals successfully introduce Trojans onto mobile devices and manipulate them into doing whatever actions they need them to.

Dr.Web Security Auditor for Android diagnoses and analyses a mobile device’s security and offers solutions to address security problems and vulnerabilities.
