- [<HKLM>\Software\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\Explorer\Run] 'csrcs' = '<SYSTEM32>\csrcs.exe'
- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon] 'Shell' = 'Explorer.exe csrcs.exe'
Malicious functions
To complicate detection of its presence in the operating system,
forces the system hide from view:
- hidden files
Modifies file system
Creates the following files
- %TEMP%\autab89.tmp
- %TEMP%\gixacjv
- %WINDIR%\syswow64\csrcs.exe
- %TEMP%\autbec3.tmp
- %TEMP%\iirkwwc
- %TEMP%\suicide.bat
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files
- %WINDIR%\syswow64\csrcs.exe
Deletes the following files
- %TEMP%\autab89.tmp
- %TEMP%\gixacjv
- %TEMP%\autbec3.tmp
- %TEMP%\iirkwwc
- %TEMP%\suicide.bat
Substitutes the following files
- %TEMP%\suicide.bat
Deletes itself.
Miscellaneous
Creates and executes the following
- '%WINDIR%\syswow64\csrcs.exe'
- '%WINDIR%\syswow64\cmd.exe' /c %TEMP%\suicide.bat' (with hidden window)
Executes the following
- '%WINDIR%\syswow64\cmd.exe' /c %TEMP%\suicide.bat
- '%WINDIR%\syswow64\ping.exe' -n 5 -w 250 127.0.0.1
