- [<HKCU>\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices] 'Supports RAS Connections' = 'svhost.exe'
- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'Supports RAS Connections' = 'svhost.exe'
- [<HKLM>\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices] 'Supports RAS Connections' = 'svhost.exe'
Malicious functions:
Creates and executes the following:
- '<SYSTEM32>\svhost.exe'
- '<SYSTEM32>\svhost.exe' 304 "<Full path to virus>"
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- <SYSTEM32>\svhost.exe
- %TEMP%\aut2.tmp
- %TEMP%\res.ico2
- %TEMP%\aut1.tmp
- %TEMP%\res.ico
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- <SYSTEM32>\svhost.exe
Deletes the following files:
- %TEMP%\res.ico2
- %TEMP%\aut2.tmp
- %TEMP%\aut1.tmp
Network activity:
Connects to:
- '13#.0.4.98':6667
Miscellaneous:
Searches for the following windows:
- ClassName: 'mIRC' WindowName: '(null)'
- ClassName: 'Indicator' WindowName: '(null)'
