Virus library

An analysis of the technologies used by cybercriminals allows us to draw conclusions about the virus industry’s possible vectors of development and more effectively confront future threats. You, too, can learn what actions various malicious programs take in infected systems and how to withstand them.

Android.Spy.134 in virus library:

Android.Spy is a family of multicomponent Trojans targeting Android devices. The malware can be incorporated into legitimate applications and games and can be distributed through various websites (mainly Chinese ones).

Once installed, they launch automatically after the system is booted. These Trojans can gather information on the user’s contact list, send and intercept text messages, track GPS coordinates of the infected device, read and add bookmarks in a browser, and get mobile phone number and its IMEI. Moreover, they can perform web searches and open specified links in the browser window. Although these malicious programs can download their own updates by themselves, to install such updates, the user’s help is required.

Vulnerabilities for Android

According to statistics, every fifth program for Android contains a vulnerability (or, in other words, a "loophole") that lets cybercriminals successfully introduce Trojans onto mobile devices and manipulate them into doing whatever actions they need them to.

Dr.Web Security Auditor for Android diagnoses and analyses a mobile device’s security and offers solutions to address security problems and vulnerabilities.
