- [<HKCU>\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] 'MicroUpdates' = '%HOMEPATH%\Documents\MSDCS\msdcs.exe'
Malicious functions:
Creates and executes the following:
- '%HOMEPATH%\Documents\MSDCS\msdcs.exe'
Executes the following:
- '<SYSTEM32>\attrib.exe' "<Current directory>" +s +h
- '<SYSTEM32>\attrib.exe' "<Full path to virus>" +s +h
- '<SYSTEM32>\notepad.exe'
Injects code into
the following system processes:
- <SYSTEM32>\notepad.exe
Modifies file system :
Creates the following files:
- %HOMEPATH%\Documents\MSDCS\msdcs.exe
Sets the 'hidden' attribute to the following files:
- <Full path to virus>
- %HOMEPATH%\Documents\MSDCS\msdcs.exe
Deletes itself.
